Stop by and enjoy a scoop of MaximoPino Gelato: How Sweet...How Sweet It Is opened its doors in Paulus Hook in May, 2011. This candy shop is the enterprise of two sisters, Laura and Gina who have created a haven for sweets lovers of all ages. There are bins and bins of all sorts of candies - everything from a blast-from-the-past favorite (Bonomo Turkish Taffy) to today's sweet-of-choice (chocolate-covered gummy bears!) Chocoholics will find a dream-come-true selection of goodies that includes mint-chocolate-chip malt balls to fine chocolates and macadamia pralines. We also offer yummy, healthy treats like dried fruit (strawberries and kiwis are on the "tops" list) as well as nuts and trail mixes and for these hot summer months cool off with a refreshing Via Veneto Italian Ice - a fat free, cholesterol free option!
